Visa Requirements: Check the visa requirements for Thailand based on your nationality.
Currency: The Thai Baht (THB) is the local currency. ATMs are widely available in Bangkok but less so on Koh Samui. It's a good idea to have some Baht on hand, especially when arriving in Koh Samui.
Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit is during the dry season, from November to May, for the most favorable weather.
Transportation: Bangkok has an efficient public transportation system, including the BTS Skytrain, MRT subway, and buses. You can get around Koh Samui by scooter (only if experienced and comfortable), taxi, or shared songthaew.
Accommodation: For those seeking a more upscale experience, pool villas are available. Prices are shown for a deluxe room for two adults. Booking in advance is recommended, especially during peak season.
Health: It's advisable to have travel insurance that covers medical expenses. Tap water is not generally drinkable; bottled water is readily available. Be aware of sun safety and insect precautions.
Culture: Thailand has a rich cultural heritage. When visiting temples, dress respectfully (cover your shoulders and knees). The people are generally very friendly and respectful.
